History of FreshBins Innovation |
|
|
FreshBins commenced operations in 2007 cleaning domestic, commercial and Local Government (Metropolitan and regional) rubbish bins.
The original Generation-1 cleaning truck involved the operator manually loading and cleaning the Bins.
To advance our technology, FreshBins has engaged a team of scientists, world leading mechanical movement specialists, computer programmers, world leading truck manufacturer and fabrication experts.

Generation-1 and 2 Technology
FreshBins Generation-1 unit was upgraded to Generation-2 as a test bed for further technology and innovation advances.
This unit offered a fully contained bin cleaning system with exceptional safety standards, but using chemicals.
The unit has proven to be an excellent developmental platform and has allowed FreshBins to proceed with further developments with confidence.
FreshBins has a clear environmental and community focus at the core of its business thinking.
FreshBins was a finalist in the 2008 Worksafe Victoria Best Design for Workplace Safety awards with this Generation-2 Truck.

Generation-3 Technology
The engagement of FreshBins and its team of scientists, world leading mechanical movement specialists and computer programmers has taken our cleaning technology to a new level.
The design and construction of the Generation-3 technology has been overseen by a specialist project engineer, and the end product is a bin cleaning and sterilising unit/truck combination that meets Euro 4 and USA Tier 3 emission standards.
With this technology, Bins (Cans) are completely cleaned and sterilised in approximately 20 seconds with no harmful by-products left after the cleaning process. In addition the Sterilised waste is collected for Recycling.
FreshBins has won the 2010 Victorian WorkSafe OH&S award for Manufacturing, Logstics and Agriculture. (refer here for more details)
